Do you have a favorite volume pedal that is dependable?

I use a newer EB with the tuner built in and kevlar cord. Overall very dependable but sometimes the screen goes black and I have to power cycle it. Passive part works great.

Also have a Sho-bud that I bought used and need to repair the cord on but I can't speak to it - still works after 50 years, so maybe that is something.

I own a Dunlop highgain. It's not the best volume pedal, but I got it used and it was very cheap and I like the classic 60s look

EB is great....right up until the cord breaks. Then it's a massive PITA.

If I had the money, I'd get the Lehle. I love Boss stuff, but to my ears, the sweep on their VP was odd.

My favorite volume pedal is the EB VolJr. I found mine years ago in a pawn with the string broken for $20. Paid $6 on Amazon for 2 string kits and its worked fine on the first kit for 6 years. I have never broken the string on a EB pedal but I have broken the plastic rack and pinion setup of other pedals.

i've always just used whatever's around, stuff people gave me. part of that is because the ones i've spent my own money on have had the stupid cable (instead of a gear type system) and i've broken three of them, twice on gigs in the middle of sets. so it's whatever i've scrambled to get quickly, and then they just hang around until i lose them or someone asks for them back.

right now i've just got a couple korg exp-2's that are fairly small and i got really cheap in some blowout. i only use them after an always on or buffered pedals, so it works out okay.

I took one of these Fender PR-726 Volume pedals on a trade a year or two back... the travel is as close to perfection that I have ever felt under my foot. We won't get into how tough it is built. It's heavy & it has a big foot print, but it feels great.

It's found a permanent home under my pedal steel... partly because that's where I needed this level of quality most.

I have a Boss stereo volume that is just as clean and reliable as the day I bought it in 1992.

EB VPJR user here. Yes, had to replace the string - used a Schnobel Lifetime string, works great. No signal loss through it, but I don’t use the tuner out.
