    I understand about perceptions.

What convinced me was the physics of displacement. The displacement of the object was several inches and it stayed where it landed.

Except that the question was "Do you believe in ghosts"....not 'Are ghosts real'....those are very different questions. The first can be accurately answered 'yes' or 'no' because it's questioning your belief.....the second is where I agree with you that the most honest answer, if you're inclined to say 'no', would be "I don't know."

Yeah, I agree. To me that says they aren't 'ghosts' as people would usually define a ghost. That's not to say people don't see things that 'shouldn't be there' sometimes, but I don't think they are 'ghosts' ... it's could be a breakdown of our perception, or a breakdown of reality in some way, or some kind of 'disruption' that we don't know anything about. I think the whole notion of ghosts is just people trying to explain something they can't explain.

Mr. Spock said it best. “There is a difference between believing and knowing. If you hold a hammer on planet with gravity then let it go I don’t believe it will fall. I know it will.

God is a ghost. He is the Holy Ghost.
That is a belief not knowing.

Do I believe in ghosts? They’re a little like sasquatch, I’ll couch it and say...sorta kinda. Some of the evidence is compelling, but I won’t definitively believe it until I see one with my own two eyes.

I think finding out sasquatch is real would be a much more uplifting and positive discovery. Knowing that ghosts are real and thinking about the spirit of some dead person being stuck in limbo and repeating the same thing over and over is infinitely more depressing. I’ve wondered before if that’s what hell is because it sure sounds like hell to me.

I think the far wilder optical illusion in your post was your signature. How the heck did you get the guitar to stay like this?

I don't see those questions as 'very different', boneyguy. If one believes in ghosts, then it logically follows that he believes that ghosts are real. What am I missing?

Again, I disagree, boneyguy. If one doesn't believe in ghosts, then why, if asked, would he answer, 'I don't know' when asked if ghosts were real?

I believe in some higher consciousness. Something, what decides and creates and dismantle, according to it’s needs to keep the universe stable. The hour my father died my nieces saw standing persona in the corner of their house. It was 11.March this year. It could have been some form of ghost or energy. Current science is not prepaired for many things and what is not able to clearify, is sat to be not existing.

Considering all the people who have died throughout our history one would think the number of ghosts would increase exponentially as well..

then they should be more commonplace and we'd all have experiences to tell ...

it's not the case though, is it?...

    Regarding poor thinking

I’m not the smartest person by any means but the ignorance of the general population (at least here in the US) is appalling, especially people in my generation “if I saw it on Facebook it’s true!”

It seems like a lot of general knowledge has been lost

How do you know if all the people you've seen are actual living people? Maybe you've seen a "ghost" or whatever you want to call it and didn't realize it.
