I personally do and always have since I started playing thirty years ago. My number 1 changed multiple times, but I've always had to have a "number 1". I have so much difficulty sharing my love between several instruments, that it's almost painful to me to own several guitars at the same time. This led me to almost always sell at least one guitar each time I've bought a new one, even when I did not need to do so to fund the next purchase. The downside of it is that there are so many nice ones I wish I had kept. I would be curious to know how many amongst you can relate to that experience, and the reasons behind. In my case, I guess it's because I've never been able to see any guitar of mine as a tool, and that I've been secretly chasing THE one that would give me life long inspiration and pleasure, even if I know it's kind of a fantasy. Cheers!
