It's made by EVH Gear (FMIC produces EVH Gear) as a reissue/tribute, part of the "Striped Series" - the "Striped Series Shark":

They are MIK - at least the one that was hanging around my local Guitar Center was - and should be available at any EVH Gear dealer.

I think EVH Gear was set up as a joint venture between Ed and FMIC (and it's not a licensing arrangement like FMIC has with Gretsch), and when he died Ed's stake in the company was inherited by Alex and Wolfgang.

BTW. the drummer in the last band I was…. in a heavy metal band…. Loved that guitar. He was always talking about wanting to buy one. And he was a youngster to me … I think he is 45 now. I do not mind the stripes but at my age. I judge more about the playability of a guitar. I have a lot of crappy playing guitars that look beautiful. I don’t need one more.

It’s the wiring channel to the switch. The scratchplate/pickguard has been ditched leaving the channel uncovered.
