Could you elaborate on this?!
Here's a quick and dirty plot of all controls at 5 comparing the Super Reverb (red) to Twin Reverb (green).

You can see the low mids in the Super are much more pronounced. Plus the mid scoop is much higher in frequency, and less drastic of a scoop. It's right about where the TS has the mid emphasis. This probably explains the popularity of that combo.

The only difference between these two tonestacks is the value of the mids capacitor.

Great info, thanks! 🙏. I find supers a bit too boomy, maybe that's why?

That's a big part of it. Plus bass coupling from 4 speakers.

If you own one that you aren't using have a tech swap in a 3.3μF cap into the 2nd stage shared cathode. The fullness will remain, but the boom will be tamed.

I sold my 1966 about 7-8 years ago. It had NOS tubes, 4 of the Fender/Eminence blueframe 10" alnico speakers. And i preferred a 5751 in the V6 phase inverter slot. Vibrato channel, bright switch off, vol at 4.5, T=7, M=9, B=4, reverb=2.75. I used my old Fulldrive 2 and a strat and it sounded incredible. Unusably loud for most any bar these days, but still the best single tone I've ever had.
