    hey all,

i believe this is the one Fender puts on Thinlines and some 60s reissue models.

i can find a version of this with the flat alignment of "Fender" stamp, but so far i can't turn up any plates that include the patent designation immediately beneath The Imprint of Saint Leo.

if any of you have some leads on this, i would appreciate the help.

    thanks!

Awww...Darren's out of the "Glendale Hotrod Roadster Chrome Plated Telecaster Switch Tips" for $28 (sigh). Wonder if they're cryo-treated?

my bro, you simply can't get great tone without 100 % cryo hardware. even the frets and nut.
    no excuses!

It's also on the George Harrison tributes and such... But I doubt you'll want to spend anywhere from between $3k and $13k just to part it out!

Maybe they're all pretty much the same piece of metal, no?

Look on ebay for a plain one and a set of punches. it will probably set you back $10 bucks all in and I doubt you'll hear a difference.

I have both the cheapo and Fender versions and I think I like the slightly thinner cheap ones best.

All of that info. is easy to find.

Go to Fender.com and look up your instrument under Customer Support, click on "Instrument Service Diagrams" and look-up the model of your instrument.

You'll find wiring and other diagrams, plus a parts list with serial numbers.
