Hmm... Is that a keyboard on a stand? Doesn't look like an ironing board... lol
I was thinking of grabbing this local Epi for a mod platform...but I just don't know....would the seller be offended if I sprayed it down with Lysol™ before handling?
(I think the seller has sold me a couple guitars in the past.)
Saw this CL post and remembered this thread.
Laundry and dirty dishes.
I think I'd have to Febreze the inside of that acoustic case. Might need some of this also...
It's all fun and games until the bugs lose their fear. I worked installing satellite dishes for a short while and on one job when I moved these peoples' dvd player, there had to be 100 little roaches that didn't scurry off. I had noticed roaches in their house leading up to the dvd discovery.
I'd love to show up to one of these sellers with dirty socks on my hands and dirty clothes hanging out of my clothes and be like: I though it was a thing. I thought you'd understand.
It's called presentation!
Restaurants don't show a photo of the discarded ingredients next to photos of their elegant entrees on their website but folks who post pics of their dinner on Facebook might have their dirty cookware somewhere in the photo.
I also like the bare feet or sock feet that photobomb a pic of a guitar in listings. (Trim those toenails!!)
I feel soiled just reading this thread
My feelings exactly.
That kitchen looks loud to me.
I bet if you turn around there's a Marshall stack right there, and a drum kit in the breakfast nook. They don't need to get to the stove: they just put raw food in the middle of the room and cook it with loudness.
I wonder if the metal in the guitar stand would be compromised by the heat from the stove. Another note...I guess the grease from cooking would preserve it!
Squirell , great thread,
I just commented on a buddy’s FB picture post of his home made pizza dinner, in the background He still has tinsel Xmas decorations up in May!
I have a very sensitive nose. The odor in some of these pics is unmistakable...never washed, locker room towels, three day socks, years of bacon grease and chain smokers...
and empty terrarium.
What if it really is about dirty clothes after all and some group of people out there are right now as we speak complaining about all the guitars that are messing up the pictures?
Because their girl friends do if they have time from the 2 jobs they have to hold down to pay the rent. Usually, if they don't have a girl friend they are homeless, especially drummers.
Don't forget feet.
I guess this add gets a pass since it is a pedalboard.
But I've often seen stuff listed with someone's nasty toes sticking into the frame.
Matter of fact, there was a theft east of Cleveland (snowmobile) that was solved when the owner cruising CL looking for his stolen sled found in. The police were able to identify the seller/thief by the tattoos on his toes (WHITE TRASH- classy).
Someone with too much free time should put these on a website. You know, like people of walmart, etc.
When I've posted instrument photos here, on eBay, or on craigslist, I take great effort to remove anything from the photo through cropping or good composition that would detract from the photo, or give a glimpse into how messy my house actually is.
