Direct Mounting a Tele Bridge PU

    I can't seem to find the #3 wood screws recommended for direct mounting tele pickups to the body. Is #4 too big? Is there a different size or style of screw I could use instead?

    No luck. Only #4 screws

    Can't you just file a point on standard Fender screws

    Push comes to shove, drill out the holes w the next size up bit until the 4 goes thru.

    Boat store... usually lots of screw sizes.

    Wait... you mean NECK pickup yes? If so, PM me and I'll send you two unused screws for the same. Didn't use the ones I had in a recent assembly, when with pickguard mount instead.

    Alternative solution: use machine screws (bolts) and threaded inserts.
