    Hi,

First post but I was wondering if anyone knew the differences between the Fender ‘57 Champ which ran from 2009-2011 and the current Fender ‘57 Custom Champ?

Only differences I can see are:
    • 09-11 uses a 12AX7 pre amp tube and the other a 12AY7.
    • The custom label on the front of the amp says Fender Champ and the 09-11 champ just says Fender.
I’ve just picked up an 09 model and it sounds great plus the price was superb but now curious as to what the differences are.

    Thanks!

You can use several 12A*7 tubes as well as 5751, 7025
    12Ax7
    12AU7
    12AT7.
They have different gain levels. You can play around with them and see what you like best.
