Didn't realize Hugh Laurie was ALSO a musician!

 Just stumbled across this video on YouTube - FUNNY, catchy, and apparently one of MANY musical (and also funny) vids by him!

They went through a stage of showing him playing guitar/piano a lot on House. Cool guy + very funny.

If you have any friends or family who only know Hugh Laurie from House, you need to show them "A Bit of Fry and Laurie." And maybe "Blackadder." They'll never see House the same way again. :D

A lot of people don't seem to realise that House was just another stage of a great career as a comedian/actor/musician he's had, and not his whole career. A big +1 on Blackadder & A Bit of Fry and Laurie.

He also plays with a few other TV stars in the cover group "Band From TV." Greg Grundberg from "Heroes" is the drummer.

Most actors who have a solid foundation in acting are also decent musicians because of their stage work.

Not surprisingly virtually all the Aussie actors who make it in Hollywood are very good musically. Guy Pearce and Hugh Jackman come to mind - even Nicole Kidman can bang one out if she has to.

Somthing about being a stranger in a strange land (America) means you've got to have a well-rounded talent.

In a few episodes of " House " he has a couple of Gibby's on a guitar stand at home and at his office. He also plays them in a couple of episodes. I kinda guessed he could really play when I saw him play piano. Very talented man.

He has a Flying V hanging on his wall at home and also plays a Les Paul.

And he has an acoustic on the wall but I don't remember what kind.

Uhhh, he does play guitar or piano in about every other episode of House.

It appears, then, that I have only ever seen the episodes in between those. I have also seen a few episodes of "Jeeves & Wooster".

Please forgive me for my TERRIBLE IGNORANCE of his wonderful musical talent.

I just happened on the one YouTube clip - and through it became aware of the *MANY* other wonderful musical clips of him on YouTube. I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to share it with you all.

Sorry. ;)
