I always try to find the way the signal flows through my cables best and use them in that proper direction. LOL

How about cloth covered or Tweed braids guitar cables?
I personally think they look Goofy and they're heavy

Some of those tend to get kinked up after use if you twist in circles like I apparently do. Then they never lay flat on the floor again ever.

I’ve got an Evidence Audio « Lyric HG »: goofy as hell, but very light in fact. I don’t know why, but I like goofy guitar cables (sure I do not move around on stage though).

To come back to the OP’s question about power cables, I’ve always found it a bit silly that Port City were falling down this rabbit hole with their amps.

If you think it improves the sound then yes it does.

My cats love getting their hairs interwoven in the tweed. Bought a nice newer Fender tweed in a pedalboard bundle deal and I only use it if I have to. Looks fantastic but not for a cat house...

For safety, always remember to drain the power from the cords when you're finished using them.

There were some major grid issues in Japan back in the 80s. Not sure if that has been resolved. Nevertheless, aren't they just listening to CDs or CD downloads anyway?

I have a friend who worked in hi-fi. He passed me a 3 foot power cable that cost some ridiculous amount(like $150-200 per foot). While it made my Hiwatt sound noticeably better with lower noise floor and quicker attack, I wouldn't bite. He would sell home theater systems to people who thought little about spending 5 figures on audio & power cables. It was cool when he worked there. I still have some speaker cable I was able to get at cost(Analysis Plus Oval)-it sounds much better than off the shelf speaker cable from Belden, Horizon, Hosa, Pro-Co, etc. Whether you want to pay extra dough for it is another question entirely. I got the cables at cost from leftovers.

Spending money to get your transformer off of pole would certainly make your home hi-fi system run more optimally. I am not sure if it's worth the extra money to hear if grass can grow, but there are worse pursuits. nAs a former recording engineer I put a electrical spike detector before it went to its 200 Amp electrical panel. It cost $5K at the time, but it worked way better than any power conditioner I have ever used because it did all of the power going to audio equipment with the lights & A/C being on a separate panel, You can hear the coil absorb all of the electrical spikes coming from the power service. The noise floor was very low from any audio equipment plus the power would identify if any equipment had electrical issues. This seems like an easier way to clean up power than getting your own transformer from the power company to your home.

Pfffffft!!! It's not tone wood, probably just regular fir or pine. What a waste of money!
