He did one with “Rapunzel, let down your hair; that I may climb your golden stair” but when the Prince got to the top it was Rapunzel’s armpit hair!! I wonder I’d Disney considered that when creating “Tangled”?

I've only paid for two of my haircuts in 45 years. It was when my Cosmatologist spouse underwent carpal tunnel surgery. I use the money I've saved to buy Telecaster guitars. I need to remember to thank her.

If you can't find a Wahl kit, try the pet supply store. It's the same clipper.

I got tired of having to convince barbers and/or hairstylists that yes I really do want you to set it to a 1 and buzz it all off that I finally bought an Oster Fast Feed Trimmer. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't expensive, and it paid for itself in the first year.

Now I buzz my own hair off as needed. No waiting, no appointments, nor arguments, and it's free. The only thing I miss is the nice blonde girl down at my local costcutters that would shampoo my hair for free because I was "fun to talk to".

I've been cutting my own hair now for 25 years, actually got pretty good at it. I have had the odd compliment here and there.

    .

    Good job taking the plunge.

I started cutting my own to save time. No twenty minute drive to and fro nor ten to twenty minute wait for my turn even with an appointment. I don't get the chit chat but no revealing international secrets either. In and out in fifteen to twenty minutes.

Savings over the years has paid for a good MIA Tele. Maybe Custom Shop.

Trick for the back is use a heavy string around the back of your head, held with your teeth, to define the trim line. Use a hand mirror with the sink mirror. That way the cut is perfectly square.\\

Like a lawn, the detail edge trimming is the key to a well cut landscape.

Kind of. Human clippers generally have plastic combs, whereas animal clippers have steel bladed combs.

My long-time beautician was fond of saying:

I consider this an opportune time to start growing a ponytail! I’ll just let it grow for the duration of self-isolation and then make an executive decision about a haircut or not...

I wasn't sure when the last hair cut I had was, so I've been looking through old photos for a time line...

@2010 it seems... the pic is dated early '10, but it's in a 2009 file... end of 09 maybe?...

    new haircut, new guitar.jpg

today '20.. it kinda looks like this....

    hair 20.JPG

I usually get a long plait together and cut it off every 10 yrs.... got two on the wall.. due for another, I guess.. I'll donate them to a cancer cause then... hope it makes a fine wig for someone one day...:)

the lighter one was when I was surfing more often....

I used to really look forward to haircuts as a teenager. I went to a salon where "big" Debbie would cut the back of you hair by leaning over from the front. Just as well I had to wear a big cape.

Been doing my own ever since. Only ever paid for 2 haircuts as a adult, once when I had to smarten up for a court appearance, and one on vacation.

Years ago I used to cut my hair in a crazy Spud from Trainspotting movie style.

It could never be worse now, even if the barbers are closed, so I live relaxed and say hello to the little hippie inside me every morning.

To stay neat for work, I usually get a hair cut every 4-5 weeks - been a nice change not to go, and my wife always says my hair is too short.

At 50$ a time for even the cheapest hair cut place here, it's nice to keep the money in my pocket.

I've given up shaving for the moment too, which has gone down rather less well...

I couldn't care less if I never got another hair cut again.
