Just push the link that says "watch this video on youtube".
Jesus Christ, I wanted to watch "Just the video" without 5000 "vocal coaches react" BS.
I heard some processing, and I'm not sure how much.....She is amazing regardless.
I hate it when I get completely cut out of the loop!.......hey! maybe I should have said that in the thread about things we hate!
The video was not uploading,
but now it's viewable.
All youtube videos of Diana seem to be blocked, saying they won't let videos get posted, and I couldn't find a way around it.
I got it working, sorry.
Because I am totally a failure with computers, I was the weak link here lol.
It's up now, sorry
No processing, that is her true voice. She's has this way of opening her larynx.
I am totally impressed and at the same time her low male voice is very creepy lol. She would be good for heavy metal.
OK...now that I've seen the video.....that's just bizarre. There were a couple of spots where her mouth didn't look quite in sync with the sound. I agree, it definitely sounds "processed". Did she maybe grow up near Chernobyl? While she has incredible control, I'm not sure I'd want to listen to an evening of her.
Thanks for posting.
Stevie Nicks called—she wants her dress back.
And her set.
Seriously, though, it’s not my kind of thing, but she definitely has a great voice. Most importantly, it’s not a “great voice” that sounds like every talented but boring singer. She even used melisma without making me want to punch my computer. That’s unusual.
Sorry ASATKat, It wasn't a dig at you... More about the 1,000's of leeches who want hits on their Youtube channel... I searched forever to find just the video of Diana singing, But every damn one had a "Vocal coach reacts"
So I had to listen to idiots critiquing her during the video.
The video wont play and because YouTube track what you watch and bomb you with those really bad suggested viewing with millions of fake hits i'd rather not click to link or watch on YouTube. It's been good since I started sticking to old western movies only.
Angelina Jordan is my favorite of all the young folks covering Wicked Games to my ears, by far the most emotive. My gut says she's a superstar before she's a superstar.
That one worked, sounds good. I like the stripped down version.
Reminds me a little of Sarah McLachlan's stripped down, solo version of one of her songs. (Hold On, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy ????) You can really tell a "magical" song when it can be played like this and still move people.
So, is Diana's low male voice unattractive. Should she grow out of it? Because she has a great normal voice. I vote to put it on the shelf or use more sparingly with a better effect.
Could this dark sound come from a life of major physical abuse that destroyed her family and life. I mean her story is tragic. And I give her total respect for surviving.
In my opinion, this is the sort of artsy music she sounds best in.
Maybe some exotic dancers,,,
This is really good,
Oh, she is using yodeling to cap off her lines I read somewhere.
