Aka NGD. Such a sweet deal on a Gretsch G5622T Electromatic, $449 shipped, cheaper than a used one. I was kinda kicking myself once I found out the vintage orange was also on sale, I would of got that at first choice, but this is a very nice color. The rosewood is dark enough too :)

This is the second guitar I bought from Adorama and so far another great guitar out the factory sealed box. A few tweaks on the truss rod was all it needed. Even the intonation was dead on. D’addario strings stock. Loving the super Hilotrons, they have that Hilo high end, some of that Hilo clank is missing though, probably unavoidable because of the dual coils.

Totally unnecessary NGD but no ragrets :D

    Me gusta!

They are not on sale anymore right? I totally don't need a new guitar but these Gretsches are good looking!

Seems like they are, they really want these to move. I was looking for used Super Hilotrons and I don’t need another semi-hollow, let alone a new guitar but just too good a deal to pass up.

I have the same one in the same color, and it has proven to be a great guitar. I too have been looking at that orange one though...

    What is your new bridge?

Ah, but it was, they sold out of the MIK versions with the rosewood fretboards. Black and Vintage Orange sold out first, the link above says a few Georgia Greens are left at that price (haven’t clicked through since earlier).

The new G5622Ts are MIC, have IL boards with the craptastically Gibsonized Blacktop Broadtron pickups. :)

    [EDIT]

Oh I see now, they are back to normal prices and they still have the rosewood/Super Hilo/MIK version. Weird transition specs on other models too, confusing!

This one is well built, does not disappoint in any way.

I borrowed the bridge from my Starcaster, it’s a custom made dBridge. It’s a standard bar bridge in one sense, but it has custom milled intonation points set up by photos and measurements. Like a solid version of your perfect set-up TOM. Strangely, this is the third swap, as I ordered it for a Supro Westbury, yet I got lucky as it worked fine on the Starcaster, and still works on the Gretsch. I already adjusted the radius for 9.5” though, so it’s going back to the Starcaster. An ABM 2400 roller bridge for the Gretsch, if Santa is good to me this year..

Link is HERE. No affiliation just a happy customer and big fan of bar bridges.

I've just order one, thanks for the heads-up man! As you said, totally unnecessary but too good to pass.

I'll post pictures when I get it.
