I got the trademark on the bass headstock today:
Now all you gotta do is protect it aggressively!
Yes, that's important.
So that only applies to a bass?
The shape is different enough from the guitar headstock that it warranted a separate registration.
The guitar headstock trademark was shown in post #63.
I suggest you read post #63 also. The text "supplemental register" states Bass guitar headstock.
You are both right....it has been so long, I forgot you got the trademark before on the 6 string bass peghead . Guess one for guitars is in order...or a call to the attorney, eh?
Congratulations on the trademark!
Call it 'Nessie?
The headstock resembles the profile of the Loch Ness Monster's head. Better check with her attorneys.
I still say it reminds me of Pearl from Spongebob.....
(don't get me wrong, I like the design)
I must admit, that though the headstock shape does nothing for me, and I generally agree that it is too similar to some of the designs already pointed out by previous posters, what you have achieved with the total instrument is quite impressive. That bass really captures one's attention. All the elements from the nut to the butt really work well together. Very well done design, sir.
It is the mark itself (the shape) that is registered.
I could use either design for an instrument with any number of strings.
See previous post...
Like Nessie, you can never find them when you need them.
That's quite a compliment.
