deploy the Warren Zevon defense?

I’m not familiar with the Warren Zevon defense. Unless it is Lawyers, Guns and Money, in which case the **** has hit the fan.

Regardless, this is pretty sad. Senseless violence is always pretty sad. And most violence is pretty senseless.

This sad world just keeps getting more sad. Was the waiter a husband? A dad? How sick does a mind have to be to shoot someone dead over a sandwich wait?

I believe Zevon was asked by Letterman what he learned from his battle with cancer, and Warren replied: "Enjoy every sandwich." May not hold water in court, but solid advice in general.

Yep. Looking for a cave or some place far deep into the woods or jungle seems more and more like the best move to make now days.

 

It just seems that way because the media seldom covers "good news", their mantra is "If It Bleeds It Leads".

 

I wish that was true bones, but I only have to travel 10 miles to our tiny town to see the local police always in full swat gear. Things have really changed regardless of the "news".

 

That's another issue entirely and not something that can discussed here.

My point is, lots of good going on in the World and locally, every single day. Always been bad, always been good, but for some reason, people gravitate towards dwelling on the bad instead of celebrating the good.

I get that the point of this discussion should be about the seeming ubiquity of road-rage. And there's obviously gun control and mental health talking points too. But all I wanted to say (as someone who worked in my share of restaurants in my younger and more vulnerable years) is that if the kitchen's slow, or the food isn't prepared to your satisfaction, don't shot the frickin' waiter.

 

I read the story, my question is why would there be shell casings on the floor if the gun was a revolver?
