Hello. New guy on the site here. I recently purchased a Deluxe Nashville Telecaster. It's great, but...

I can't seem to find a great height for the pickups. It has the noiseless ones with the Strat one in the middle. I've used the Fender specs, gone way up and way down but I can't seem to find the sweet spot.

I was hoping the good folks in this forum have some recommendations based on their experience to save me some time.

    Thanks.

did you try the nickel adjustment?
one nickel between the bottom of the string on the treble pickups, 2 nickels on the bass side. YMMV

I didn't try that method. Is that with the string pushed down against the 22nd fret? Is that also for all three pickups?

I tried it. Decided on 2 nickels bass, 1.5 nickels treble. Tone knob around 7-8. Just what I was looking for.

    Thanks for your "two cents".

I'm glad it worked for you, Jim. It can be a very good 'starting point' to get you close.
