We used to go out early on Black Friday morning. It was a fun deal back then, the stores would have coffee and donuts for the early birds. One year I got carried away and bought my wife seven jackets, even bought the lady who went with us a coat! It was a fun time. Something happened along the way, and now we just stay in. We won't go out this year either.

My bad. Already bought two guitars. Never left the house. I will look online tomorrow to see what's there. I need a new computer.

We don't go out for it. We "NEED" nothing.

I will shop online for guitar stuff. I do not "NEED" any more of that either.

My wife and I hit the outlet mall Wednesday morning. Everything was already marked down. There was plenty of inventory that was still well organized. Sales floor help knew where things were and the stores were empty. We found what few things we were looking for in minutes and a bargain I couldn't pass up at Tommy Bahama. I won't be shopping in a brick and mortar store again any time soon.

I've occasionally bought something online on Black Friday if it's something I actually needed, but I don't go out to the stores.

I need some new drawers. A 3-pack would be fine. Hoping to find some solid markdowns.

It’s all online now though and it comes to us. I just deleted a very scary email touting 15% off from JHS

Black Friday, like Halloween, seems to be seeping out into the rest of the world from the US, where we are all a bit puzzled by it.

    Thanksgiving, now that's a different matter - I can relate to that - I love a good food coma...

My son’s brother-in-law stated that he would not get up at 4 AM to spend money, but he would get up at that time if he were getting PAID. That is, to work.

I’m all for good deals, but I’m not interested in shopping as a contact sport.

I have never, ever gone to black friday sales. However, I do scoop up online deals when they fall in my lap.

I do online deals. No interest in lining up outside a big box store to scramble for 'bargains'.

This year, I did the Discovery + Black Friday deal: 99 cents/month for 3 months. The host of the show 'Laundry Guy' is a friend of ours and we'll watch the show. I also went on Cigars International and bought two bundles of Macanudo cigars at 67% off--one for me, one for my best friend.

I bought a new 2017 (Memphis) Gibson ES-339 Studio last year. It's a great guitar but sadly, I have not bonded with it. I've finally, at 72, lol, come to grips with the realization that a Fender Telecaster with a 9" radius slim taper/thin neck is what floats my boat.
I will not be buying anything on Black Friday this year.
