...is the title of a bizarre little pencil drawing I did about twenty years ago. Some years ago, I sent it to Marco Krijger in Holland. He's the Dutch craftsman who built my Marz 6, Katalina, and Neptoon, guitar prototypes for me.

He recently moved into a new residence, and along with birthday greetings, sent this image of the drawing on his new wall, which is, itself, almost perfectly complimentary to the art itself, both in composition and color.

It's a very odd little art piece, with a rear view of the sitting main character in the foreground, bundled up against a chilly and misty morning, thermos at his side, old shotgun resting across his lap.... patiently waiting.....but for what? If the decoys are any indication, it's going to be a very strange hunt. I could easily extrapolate an entire Twilight Zone episode from this single illustration.

You know John, you are a seriously talented man in a generosity of endeavors, but you do know you're more than a little bit weird don't you? Not saying there's anything wrong with that, just sayin'.

Often is the time that there simply is no ration that explains a work of Art.

Nice piece. It sets up a mood; a tone. Another tone thread!

I really like that sketch. You should have done numbered prints. It would have been on my office wall. Instead I had a listing of the Shenzen Bay hotel rules, China. T My favorite was "Not to bring the odorous objects into the room".
