Thanks! I think the tuners are Gotoh Vintage-style Oval locking. Have to look closer.
I'll see if I can measure the pickups and see what they are.

Good deal at $200, I think it was a Broadcaster pickup they used in the bridge, Boris will know. If you feel like taking the neck off there will probably be some stamps on the heel, good looking neck whatever it is.

3-saddle bridge looks like steel saddle for the EA strings and brass for the rest. Whoever put this together had some specific thoughts for a telecaster.

    Nice score, indeed.

For $200 I'm wondering if everyone in this thread wouldnt have bought it. Just to resell at least. Great deal from the looks.

Yeah the 50s Baja uses a Broadcaster design bridge pickup, and a Twisted Tele neck pickup and these two are NOT RWRP because if they were, with all the out of phase stuff, they would just howl with noise.

But, don't let's just assume the stock pickups are still present. If the neck got sold off, then maybe the pickups did also.

I’ll add that I purchased Baja pickups from stratosphere and the neck pickup has the same color wires.

resistance is about 6.5 for the neck and almost 10k for the bridge.

    and they’re amazing. Lol

    OP, great score.

I contacted Fender and inquired about the body. They replied:
Although I cant tell you much regarding part number MO2713372, I can tell you that this Telecaster body belonged to one of our "Vintage Telecaster Thin Skin". This body dates back to August of 2011 and was made in Mexico.

Removed the neck. No markings on the neck, looks like a 12 stamped on the body.

I measured resistance at the output jack and I get (switch position numbered from neck to bridge):
    1: 13.98
    2: 5.73
    3: 3.49/8.61 (with S1 toggled)
    4: 8.61

Measured the resistance at the actual pickups.
    Neck: 5.76
    Bridge: 8.60

Thinking these are not Baja pickups after all. Thoughts?

Could still be Baja pickups, the reading is lower from the jack output than direct from the pickups.

$200 is obviously a killer deal for what looks to me to be a really cool guitar. LOVES me a 4-way switch. That neck looks awesome and a nitro "think skin" blond w/ solid looking pickups. Score.

Surprised someone didn't make a $300 offer on that ahead of your getting it on the final day. Well played!

Now....get off TDPRI, put it back together and play the heck out of it! :p

I'll take a moment to pay some respect to the poor soul, with such good taste, who left that guitar behind.
