Personally I'd try to find a good Yamaha or a Taylor 200 series acoustic/electric.

I've played several used Yamaha acoustic/electrics in pawnshops that I really liked and were being sold for really good prices.

    I personally picked up this '09 Taylor 210 E acoustics/ electric Dec. 30, 2019 at a pawnshop for $258 w/ a nice Roadrunner padded case.

The guitar plays and sounds amazing plugged in.

To me this is the perfect plug and play for any club or coffee shop gig where you won't have to worry about damaging or getting an expensive acoustic stolen.

    My Taylor 210 E:

Some good suggestions above. Any of the options you mentioned would work. The most important thing was already mentioned: that you like the guitar.

    Here's what I'd get if I needed a so-called acoustic-electric:

I finally got my Fishman Matrix installed. Installation was pretty simple, and it sounds great.
