So if we had the 60’s the 70’s and 80’s. What is now.
And wouldn’t it sound weird. I did so and so in the 10’s ? Next year might sound better. The 20’s ?? Just throwing it out.

I can’t remember what music, or anything else for that matter, was when, so it’s not really part of my speech

I don’t know, but I constantly get asked to “play something from this century”.

Calling it the "teens" seems appropriate. It might only sound weird to us old guys.

Well, as least we will all have perfect eyesight in (and hindsight of) the 2020’s.

To put it in perspective, a guy born in 1723 probably said, “I was born in the 20’s.”

What about the first decade? The zeros? Those were my most formative years. It's also when youtube was invented.

Yes, the teens, and the aughts or oughts. Both spellings are correct, and they are pronounced the same.

Though I occasionally make an effort to play something from this century, no one ever requests that I do.
Perhaps it’s because I look like something from the middle of the last century, dunno.
Luckily, no one expects me to rap, or know any Ed Sheeran or Lady Gaga.
    Fine with me.
