Marty! How are you doing, man?

 

Good...still making unfinished guitars as you can see. I contemplated the corrugated body but Fender did it a year or so ago. Somebody else did the pencilcaster last year, so I'm just doing my own thing now. You should stop by more often. It's like a revolving door around here.

 

Well, I'm just having my annual check in, making sure the place is neat and tidy. Perhaps I will make my inspections six monthly, but it'll be your fault, Marty, be warned!

 

Jeez Phil you still kicking??????????????? Been making any plastic guitars out of old clocks and bits of string and various other "stuff' you salvage from your weekly rummage through the neighbor's bin?

Like Dave and you I'm still alive (if you call this living!) too, although I increasingly feel like I've done 12 rounds with Cassius Clay! I seem to still spend most of the time in the sawdust factory but don't need anymore guitars but still build a few because I enjoy trying to develop different methods etc. Trying my hand at the moment at my first acoustic which will either be OK or cr@p, but it keeps me off the streets and out of the pubs.

Good to hear, Dave! I've built my first acoustic and I'm currently repairing acoustics which is outside my comfort zone but still enjoyable.

Hoping to tip the balance on the full time work / part time luthier situation within the next few months, exciting changes ahead!
