So true, as it ended, I thought to myself, this is applause worthy, and sure enough the whole theater clapped and we all left smiling. GREAT movie, I would say for me personally this was the best action movie I have seen since Pulp Fiction, others opinions will differ, but that is how I felt (bear in mind though, that I dont get out to see a lot of movies, so my exp. is limited)

I didn't say a PG-13 Deadpool would be as good or true to the character. I did say if it was toned down a bit it'd be something I'd feel more comfortable taking my 8 year old to see.

If you can wait till it comes to TV, not only will they be older, but their editting will take care of the rest.

    That's true.

What's funny is that, in his limited knowledge of the character (I.e. An occasional appearance in a cartoon), my kiddo really likes Deadpool. I think he likes what we all like - the unpredictability and overall 'anti-hero' qualities that make him a unique one in the Marvel roster.

He's like a much funnier and interesting Punisher.

you're not supposed to take your 8-year-old to see it. that's the point of a r-rating.

Yeah definitely don't take an 8 year old to this, unless you're comfortable with explaining anal sex jokes to them. It would be interesting if they released a movie like this with multiple ratings, like release a PG tv edit to the theaters alongside the R rated version. Not sure if that's ever been done before?

I was surprised how much the R rating really helped this movie though, it definitely will lose a lot when it's censored. They captured the comic book tone so well in this that it makes something like the Avengers look embarrassingly cheesy in contrast.

I never cared much for it either, but people seemed to go crazy over the Avengers when it was released. I can't think of any qualities where Deadpool isn't superior.

I think the last wolverine movie would have benefitted quite a bit from an r rating.

Haven't seen it yet. Heard mixed reviews. But it's opened the flood gates. Prepare for a large influx of rater R super hero flix. Wolverine in 2017 is getting an R rating. Amongst others.

In all the hoopla, I'd forgotten about Clint's picture...a funny thing the other day, I mentioned Deadpool to a fellow vintage fella & he thought I was referring to Mr. Eastwood.

Once the statue is up someone can start the tradition of putting a watermelon helmet on its head.

you probably shouldn't be taking your six-year-old to r-rated movies.

Yeah first clue would have been the big Rated R notification on all the trailers. Just sayin.
