I was given a non-functioning 1967 Super Reverb 14 years ago. It had 4 blown CTS speakers, bad tubes, wiring damage to the PT (the rectifier tube had a broken guide pin and was installed incorrectly, though the PT itself was fine), needed a reverb tank, a power cord, electrolytics, was missing the upper back panel and chassis mounting hardware.
I repaired it myself. It cost about $800 in parts (it would've been a lot more, but I got 4 speakers cheap when THD was blowing them out) plus my time. It sounded great and was a solid, reliable amp when I was done with it. I got $1000 for it. Luckily, I had fun doing the repair.
