My work is considered "essential" but my customers are postponing everything that they can, so I'm holed up, finishing my reports and wondering when this will end. Our church streamed a morning prayer service this past Sunday. Our priest, deacon, organist, and someone to video the event were there. My wife and I were the choir. We all maintained our distance. Now I've learned that the organist spent time last week with a mutual friend who has tested positive for the virus. This is my first personal acquaintance who has been diagnosed. How many more???

This is day 1 of "work from home". I have General Lee in my lap, purring, company email and MS Teams up and running, but so far, I'm the only one online. Oh well, the business news is mildly interesting.

My wife and I are blessed that we can both work from home but as we are both technically essential employees in essential businesses were running back and forth to the office through last week. We have now battened down the proverbial hatches and are 100% working remotely. Never felt luckier to live with woods and a creek behind my property where we can get some nature therapy and exercise. I feel for those of you living in dense urban areas -- stay safe everyone.

My wife is now working from home, and my outside-derived work (and income from such) had stopped entirely for at least the next several months, maybe more. No one is buying guitars, so the relatively small (but important) monthly royalty checks I normally receive have been completely stopped, and the part time charter bus driving has also, understandingly, screeched to a halt. But, we have just enough to 'maintain', and feel fortunate for that. We can 'tread water' for a long time if we have to.

Those guys with the jacked up four wheel drives, armed to the teeth wearing their camo uniforms were supposed to come rushing out and save us all...…….... Still waiting.

8 of mars...so on day 17 and living alone (mild symptoms). I've taken a few walks in the woods by myself. That's about it...

I have been up at the top of our property cutting trees for next year's firewood this week. Apparently, it is even a more dangerous world down there in the concrete jungle. Plus both of my volunteer organizations have postponed everything, so I have more time to play guitar. The creek is up, so more amp time too.

Just to take one example: TP. Really??? The shortage was 100% unnecessary panic buying.

It's just childish, people buying cases of Clorox wipes too. The worst of the worst are people buying 10 loaves of bread at a time either to have it sit out and mold, or they'll freeze it only to discover frozen and thawed bread tastes horrible. Then they'll throw it away just to go buy 10 more.

Yeah, nutz. The bread freezing reminds me of my crazy father-in-law. He is a wealthy miser. A couple months ago he was crowing about how he saves money at breakfast. He buys bread on clearance (so, stale) then freezes it. For breakfast he toasts one slice (two would be extravagant) and has it with margarine (not butter) and a small cup of instant coffee. I told he that breakfast was the cause of a prison riot

I miss the good old days. Lets hope when this is over we have a new appreciation for what is and what isn't important.
