The headlines are blazing the critic's acclaim:

"...The acclaimed theatrical concert from David Byrne is now at Broadway's Hudson ... his triumphant rock spectacle AMERICAN UTOPIA, now playing at the legendary ... "

From Fallon last night, so it'll probably be brought down pretty quickly

Byrne seems to remain true to form in his older years, although the chronic irony seems mixed with more than a little seemingly sincere Mr Rogers-ey quality. Maybe in the old days it was more a certain Forrest Gumpness charm?
I dunno. Talking Heads was always (I perceived) too nerdy for me. Truth be told, the irony was simply over my head at the time; I was a much more literal take-at-face-value dude then

man does seem somewhat a musical genius

I saw his show in LA just this past summer. I've always been a big fan.

I've been to countless shows and concerts of all types.

This one had a level of energy, creativity, and talent I've never seen before. It was amazing.

If you have the opportunity, go.

    Fantastic.

When Byrne dies his body should be pickled in Aspic and displayed at the Smithsonian labeled "Genius"

David Byrne has an entertaining thought process....and it works in all his projects.

I've always dug him in various incarnations. But I can see how a lot of it is too "precious" or "arty" for many people, sometimes me.

@blowtorch - you hit the nail on the head for at least two points:

    1) Byrne has definitely acquired a bit of Mr Rogers sincerity these days
    2) He is also definitely a genius

    Great clip!
