Dating a MIJ 62 Custom Tele

    Hello, Im new to the forum and I wanted to get started by asking for your help

    I recently got this tele and was wondering how could I get some info on when it mas made, but still have no idea.

    I tried with the bridge serial but realized that it was basically useless for said purpouse and the neck also lacks SN[​IMG]

    Should be able to info on get a google search.
    Isn’t there a serial number on the back of the neck right above where bolts on to the body?
    I think that would be the one to use

    Your best chance may be to check for a pencilled date in the neck pocket

    I was thinking that tele is a little old for him. Try dating teles closer to your own age.

    If you have a serial number just look at the info. on Japanese Fender's on Fender's website.

    Best rule, always check with the manufacturers site first, there's too much wrong info. on the web.

    The Fender website is notoriously wrong about many Fender Japan serials.
