Always great to see everyone's Danocasters.

Did anyone here buy the shell pink Dano Esquire that Dan made for Easter a few years back?

I always loved that guitar but have never seen it appear on the forums.

I've never seen it on the forums either. I asked dan about building a shell pink Strat for me.. Backed away from that because I just don't play my Strats. Got a nice oly white maple cap instead.

Got my Danocaster tele today!! It was well worth the wait and definitely the best guitar i've ever played. It's a '55 whiteguard with voodoo pickups and a v shape neck. My first guitar with a v shape neck and i love it. I wish my other guitars felt like this one. I met Dan at his house today to pick it up and he and his wife invited me inside and they were both a pleasure to meet. Super nice and I would highly recommend Dan and his guitars to anyone who is looking for a custom reliced guitar! I'd post pics of it but my phone wont post one right now. I'll put one on here when it decides to work again.

Question for you Dano owners. I am looking at possibly acquiring a Dano in a resale as the current wait for an order is now pretty lengthy. One I am considering has his Chunky C neck profile, .88 - .95. I currently have an AVRI '64 tele and really like the neck on that. I like even more the neck on the AVRI '65 strat which is a little thicker but no Nocaster. The huge Necks on the few Nocasters I have tried have been a little too big for my taste. Would the Dano chunky C be closer to the Nocaster or the other necks I described. If it is like a Nocaster I will probably pass on this one guitar I am considering. Thanks.

    Cool and I understand.

I have the first '55 Whiteguard from Dan and it is my most played guitar.

Have fun as I know you are.

Thanks.. I saw your's too.. totally love it. If I ever get another it'll be most likely a 55. I already have a few Fenders built to 50's specs. Wanted my Dano's to be something different.

I'll be ordering a Danocaster once Dan starts production again. That is unless anyone knows of a preowned one for sale now. :)... Billreevs@msn.com

They pop up over on TGP frequently but I've seen them sell literally in minutes if priced right and it looks good.. The 55 white guards seem to go as soon as they are put up.

Congrats!!! You're going to love it. Did he just post a photo of yours on Facebook?

I have a Dano Tele and just got a "JM" Offset about two months ago. I didn't think it could get any better than the Tele, but the JM is freaking amazing. It's fast becoming one of my favorite guitars. Mine has a Staytrem bridge, Spitfire tort, Lollar & Leonard pickups, and bridge wired to rhythm circuit. Here's a picture of mine:

Congrats! I've been waiting for 5 and a half months for my sunburst double cut Dano. It should be one of the very next ones ready. SUPER PUMPED too!

Joe, Yeah. Mine is the one that was up today. I actually think yours was the one that clued me into the Spitfire option. Similar specs to yours minus the bridge wiring.

    JimmyD,

sweet. mine took 6 months and 8 days from order until now. But he did move his production facilities in the middle of my order which slowed things down a lot.

That's an awesome looking guitar.. I just acquired 2 more danocasters, a 55 WhiteGuard with Budz pickups and an Oly White no yellowing with Rosewood and something I haven't seen from Dan before, an Asymmetrical neck profile 0.90 at the first fret.. Original owner swapped out the voodoo pups for a set of BG1400's.. The voodoos came with it too.

Congrats.. Dan really hooked you up with that pickguard.. It's killer.. I was speaking to Dan about building a JM for me when the deals for the Teles came along.. Almost called him when I saw the pics of yours..

Is that your first Danocaster? You'll love it I'm sure..
