sure...the blank is for anything you want
Right. I didn't either. I figure I have a statistically higher chance of suddenly coming up with enough dough to buy one. Still a low probability. But higher.
free TDPRI membership?
Oh, that wasn't directed at me. Never mind.
I won this in 2019 at the last stop of the Fender Custom Shop Road Show. Lightning doesn’t strike twice. Actually, that’s not true. Your probability of winning has nothing to do with your previous wins or losses.
Didn't they have any new ones left?
The annual fun drazer always takes me to what my old business partner said when Oregon started its lottery program. He said, "They finally figured out how to tax poor people."
its an open forum...use it if you like
I get my money’s worth out of this place anyway, so it’s okay
I DID win a guitar once. A draw at a bar where a friend was DJing between band sets. I didn't like the bar but I liked visiting my friend. He convinced me to enter and as soon as I dropped my name in I instantly felt dread.
When the time came for the draw, the band on stage was hyping up the crowd while I managed to sneak outside. Sure enough the singer called my name. The dread shifted to despair. Someone told them they saw me go outside so I hear the band leader saying for someone to go outside at get him.
I panicked and ran around the corner and tucked myself into an alcove. The door girl found me and wanted to know my last name and all I could do was just shake my head.
I waited until they gave up and drew another name, much to my relief. The guitar would have been nice but going on stage to get a coveted prize in front of a crowd I don't feel comfortable in was too much to handle. I've played on lots of different stages, done sound at some hairy gigs, but always felt okay. This crowd was a bunch of hockey jocks and hipsters and it was a little too "getting bullied in junior high vibes".
And that was the day I won (and lost) a guitar.
Me either despite my hopes and wishes! I’ll have to settle for the Vintera RW Tele Deluxe I won last year.
I had DIBS! I called DIBS! Does that mean nothing anymore?
