I guess the TT was discontinued and soon replaced by the PoT, but why???
I prefer the beautiful deep red TT... is there a difference?

Are you sure they are the same ? Could be some marketing, but coming from danelectro i don't know.

Texas Trouble is still available, both new and used. You like the sound and color? Buy. What are you afraid of?

Is there a difference? I consulted the Extra-Terrestrial Oracle of Gratuitous Texas Tone Pedal Circuit Reference Guide and this was the answer:

I have the PoT...a good pedal. I've read it is a "SRV/TS808/TS8 rock" clone...doesn't matter...the price was right and it gets the job done.

I think one of them, don't remember which, was exclusively marketed through guitar center. My [limited] understanding is that they are the same pedal, just different branding, much like you see with MXR "special" pedals at GC also.

Is this a trend - pedals named after states?

Missouri Madness, Rhode Island Renegade, Hawaii Hijinks, ... buy all 50, own the complete set...

Yeah, I realized the SRV marketing... my earlier post was a feeble joke... still, some of those pedal names are pretty wack... what do I step on if I want the Wisconsin sound?

yeah,I want a Waikiki Drive or a Miami Ocean Drive...

I think the name/image/aura of a pedal can be very important (marketing)...

In for the New York Compressor if we're doing states.

To OP: I have the Money Laundry, and it's supposed to GC's re-skinned version of the Big Spender. I don't know why, but Guitar Center was blowing them out.

Guitar Center also did that with some headphones I was checking out. They slapped "studio" on the case, but were the same as the other model, but raised $20 more.

GC sold the entire 'Billionaire' line with different names and reversed color schemes. They're exactly the same and I can't imagine what that was supposed to accomplish.

I bought a 'Money Laundry' rotary pedal for $40.

it gives them a "cheap" reputation even if they're good...bad move by Danelectro....in most guitar players heads: cheap=beginner="good for the price"...
