I have heard that these guitars were the prototypes and predated the chinese and Korean models. Do you guys have any info on these? Im selling this and have had a lot of interest and I realize that I might have a rare guitar here. Any info is much appreciated.

The Korean ones are the older ones of the reissues. I'm guessing by the serial that yours is a 2006. About $250 is the norm.

I was guessing 2006 also. Hard to research, but this one might be earlier than the Korean ones. That is why I am here. Just trying to get some somewhat definitive answers.

I wouldn't get too excited about a "rare" Indonesian guitar having some special value. It's probably in line with other Dano reissues.

Dano Inuendo 12 with Gotoh tuners and 4 built in effects. I paid $100. Danos from the 90's and 2000s are not colecteble, they are a dime a dozen but a lot of fun. The Koreans were the first batch in the late 90's.

Korea is higher on the guitar food chain than Indonesia ... the large Korean makers, Cort and Samick moved some operations to Indonesia where labor is cheaper ...

Indonesia now is a booming economy country like Korea in the '90s, very good for guitar business with advantages: plenty (tone)wood available (rosewood, mahogany, pine, agathis, sungkai/Indonesian ash and also exotic woods like maccassar ebony), better worldwide distribution network (through Singapore) and also an emerging market (with large population). No wonder Cort and Samick (which handles major guitar brands) moved most operations to Indonesia. Maybe in the next 20 years, they're gonna find 'Korea part III' when Indonesia becomes expensive like Korea now.

Events Corp., the company that bought the Danelectro trademark, started out making effects and then guitars, first in Korea, then Indonesia, and finally China, where they are made today. The Korean-made models with the adjustable bridges and Gotoh brand tuners (vs "Gotoh style") like the DC3 and the MOD 6 are pretty decent guitars, with very playable, comfortable necks. Among Evets Corp era Dano fans, the Korean made guitars are MUCH preferred over the Indonesian made or Chinese made guitars. Hope this helps.
