Danelectro 59 DC Hardcase

Hello,

I'm looking around for a hard case for a 59 DC Danelectro and was wondering about hard case hunting experiences from other 59 DC owners.

I haven't taken it to a music store to try out cases just yet - I figure I should ask around first.

FYI I am in Canada so if it helps with case suggestions.

I've got the Jerry Jones version of that guitar and it's in a TKL case. I can't find a model number anywhere on the case, but on the side there's a piece of scotch tape that says "TKL321." Maybe that'll help you find it. Good luck.

Is your case originally made for a telecaster? It would be suuuuuper cool of you if you could provide me with a photo of it . It would definitely help me in tracking down the case.

Also, how much was the retail price of the case and how well do the neck/body fit?

Here's a link to the actual guitar I bought, and it includes a shot of the case. You should contact the store (Grinning Elk Music in Georgia), and ask them about the case that came with that guitar. They should remember because I literally bought this a week ago.

That's a nice looking guitar. I think my store may have those cases! I'll have to check out how it fits. Hopefully the body has no side to side/up n down play and the height of the neck isn't too low or high.

You're welcome. The guitar fits perfectly in that case. I just checked. That's the case that came with the guitar from Jerry Jones, so if you find that case you should be good to go. Welcome to the forum, by the way, and I like your user name. Kinda funny.

Sorry to bring this up again. I'm in the same situation you were; looking for a hardshell case to my DC 3.

Did you manage to find a good hardshell case? If so, from where?

I'm glad to have found this thread. I was just about to post something like this myself. I've got a Dano DC 12-string and I need a case. I was looking at Musician's Friend and they have an extra-wide case available - one of their house brands - and I was just about to order that or a gig bag for a semi-hollow (335).
