I can say, from personal experience, that Iron Butterfly's "Inagadddavita" is "highly danceable" if the girl you like, for some strange reason, thinks that it's "highly danceable".

It was a 70s, High School thing.

Most early Ramones would qualify, actually.

With some of the music I have been turned onto around here, I could just assume to quit playing guitar and just listen all day and night.

    I like this one:

Probably the best song ever written about teenage boys hiding in their girlfriend's older sister's wardrobe.

I do not dance. Well, if I do, someone forgot to cut me off at an appropriate time. And it’s not pretty. So I have nothing to offer here. I will say, however, that I remember being at a rock-oriented club back in the ‘80s, and a Rush song came on. Not only did people continue to dance, but more moved to the dance floor. Now, I don’t remember what tune it was, and I don’t care what your opinion of Rush is, but watching people try to dance to it was... memorable.

This is one of my favorite tunes by the Specials, but my friends were always meh on it. I love the bass solo.

    Specials -"Nite Klub"

I'd prefer making the dance music to the actual dancing. Dancing is one of those things where, with me, booze actually helps.

Yes, it helps me forget that I danced. I’m just glad that part of my life occurred before everybody had a camera in their pocket at all times.
