Yesterday....I was recapping my old 1965 Harmony H400 tube amp.
I had the replacement caps next to me.
After I had removed all the old electrolytic caps.....I turned to grab a new cap.....and most of them were..........GONE!?
While I was pondering...."what the h*ll was going on?".....in trots Skye the cat.
Who proceeds to hop up on my work bench.....grabs a cap in her mouth.....hop off.....and trot out of the room.
So I follow her.....to her "favorite" box.
    Not only do I find my missing caps.....but my wife's wrist watch.....a house key.....a pen....and a few other odds-n'-ends??
If she wasn't my daughters little pride and joy.......................

    Steve   :D

You could charge up a cap and leave it for little Skye (just a couple of volts nothing lethal). I bet she wouldn't do it again.

You have to admit that's rather funny! You should send her to the neighbor's and see what she brings back.

With 4 y.o. twin boys and a 7 y.o. girl I have to think it could could be easier to deal with missing and wrecked things via the pet!

I think you need to find a good tele parts store by you and let her loose.

    Dear Stew Mac,

Please let the cat that accompanies this letter loose in your warehouse for a few days.

    With Love,

Only if it's inappropriate, and in this case it's not. Should have gotten a picture of that, Steve.

Years ago my cat Othello grabbed my wifes earrings when she was not around and hid them behind the couch.
I guess it is just a cat thing. It was funny to find his stash of shiny things he was fond of.

Small components are no problem, but I can't leave small wires, guitar strings, or twist ties laying about as they seem to be trying to eat them when they play with them, and I don't want them poking their eyes out or ingesting them. Funny thing is, the male cat seem to have cottoned to the idea that these are dangerous. He will sometimes walk over to a wire mistakenly dropped on the floor, and meow to alert the closest human to the "hazard". If no one responds, he does the equivalent of shrugging his shoulders and begins to bat it around between his paws...

My 14 1/2 year old Bengal has a stash of pens and pencils somewhere in the house. I cannot leave a pen out anywhere or it will disappear. Toilet paper has had to be kept in a closet next to the toilet for 30 years or it would be rolled out by the Siamese I had before or the Bengal.

I also cannot leave a bowl of my chili out, which is pretty spicy, or jalopeno cheddar dip on the table to go get a drink or answer the phone, or I will find Selena sitting down eating out of the bowl.

She also will play fetch with you for 20 minutes at a time with one of her toys-when she is in the mood.

Is this why they are called "cat burglars"?

I have a Manx that steals things off my work bench. I think she has my wife's "lost" car keys stashed somewhere.
