Yeah, it's not thankfully. Just in a very inconvenient spot. I'm sure i could fix but rather just have a pro deal with it.

I appreciate the positive support! I dropped off at luthier, will be a couple weeks but will be worth it.

If it was insured through Reverb, they will take care of it

5 mins on a belt sander and roll that edge a bit and leave it bare..... polish it to feather the edges in....

for the transportation claim, it is the shipper that must claim for the damages ( at least in Canada) but I believe it is the same with the States
    1) contact the shipper and see what they wish to do about this first
    2) if No Joy Go through Reverb
    3) Remember if the claim goes through for the entire amount , the shipping agent has the right to claim the guitar to off set the loss

I spent 40 years in the transportation industry 25 years with the federal government in Canada

sorry to see this happen to you and I wish you the best

The shipper has started a claim with the Japan mail. I think I have to contact USPS on my end. To be honest, I don't really care about filing a claim.

I get that , it was more for the processes involved, the shipper may offer you some money back , again I wish you the best , I hate hearing these stories , I had the same issues with UPS everything I recieved through them I recieved was broken , everthing, I had solid insider info on their shipping practices and its deplorable , truly discusting.

you lucked out. the burst is perfect. you can either get a tech, or plug it yourself and then paint and buff it out with black. it will be invisible.

I opted to just get fixed. No need to deal with the post. Too much stress. I’m grateful I can still play it! That’s all that matters anyway

    Exactly.

    This one one wicked hit.

However, the same characteristics that make this guitar light, mean the underlying wood is less robust.
