These guys were smart to take the words “Vintage Guitar Show” out of the title. I know they did this possibly decades ago, as vintage guitars became, well, ya know. I believe Jimmy Wallace is still the main organizer. I remember Jimmy as a sales guy at my favorite music store ever (Arnold and Morgan Music Co.). He has his own shop now though I have never been. They were also very smart to make live music a big part of the attraction. My wife and I got tickets for the show mainly to see the live music. The line-up is in the video. I’m not promoting the show by the way, just curious if anyone else is planning to be there. I must have the only wife in the world that is excited to roam the noisy isles looking at gear. We really want to catch Mark Lettieri, Josh Smith and Greg Koch. Also, Buddy Whittington, Jerry Don Branch and finally the Stratoblasters. Should be a fun and exhausting day. Are you planning to go?

I don't remember Jimmy, but I get misty thinking about Arnold & Morgan. We lived in Garland then, and every Saturday morning from age 9 (1979), mom hauled me up there for my guitar lesson, then I killed time in the amp room until she and my little sis got done with their errands. Before I had an electric, the guys in that shop always let me pull down and play whatever I wanted through whatever amp was available. Just a magical store staffed by great folks. Our local shop here reminds me of it in all the good ways.

Enjoy the Stratoblasters and RIP Bugs!

I'll be back then, so yeah why not. It's been a couple of years.

Last time I went to a show there were pre opening customers coming out of the hall with guitars. Gave me a sour taste. Imho.

Can't make it this year...but I'm trying to get my guitar collecting buddy in DFW to go. I like to help him spend his money:twisted:.

Fuel for a four hour drive to Dallas and back then $30 bucks a head to get in plus lunch and maybe some drinks? Most of the music acts are guitar nerd dudes whose guitar should be heard but not their voices, some rather cringeworthy women blues rockers, and country session turnt wannabe bluesmen who also can't sing. Boogie Long about the only guy on there I'd suffer the sore back to watch besides a bunch of acts I don't recognize. I'll stay home and spend the money on gear instead thanks.

But GUITARS, dude! I don't like driving to Dallas either, but there's a chance I'll get one if I play my cards right :D

Oh yes, of course! After the recent disruptive event I need some out of my league guitar porn. It's always a great show.

Do you mean that before the doors opened on the show dates people had already been in buying? Did they have dealer tags on? Fwiw, a private person to be able to get inside on load-in day for a charge of $100.
The only reason I would attend would be to sell items that I don’t want to ship....like a slew of v8ntage cases, a Bassman cab with OEM C12Ns....my Premier Super 88 amp.

Yes, I took lessons there in about ‘78 from a Joe Plambouth (sp?). Early dates with my wife included A&M Music. We both get choked up remembering that store, and Steven Arnold’s studio across the street. Magic and time.

Naw I hear you I thought about going but realistically I can afford a new $200 pedal if I just stay home. Not really many acts I'm interested in seeing. A couple of them I've seen locally before or they play this area regular anyways. So it's either go ogle the gear and afford nothing or stay home and buy a new mxr talk box, lol. I'm sure it will be a good time for anyone going just not for me this year.

I'm planning to go at least one day. Seems very much like another step forward towards normalcy after the great unmentionable unpleasantness.
