Dale Watson's CD from 2009: "The Truckin' Sessions Volume 2".....

This is a fantastic batch of hard drivin' Honky Tonk Country music and features the great Redd Volkaert on Telecaster guitar. One of the best albums I've heard in a while. This is the kinda music that CMT and mainstream Country radio SHOULD be featuring. Real Country music filled with heart, soul, and good humor (and some killer Telecaster pickin' from Redd and amazing steel guitar from Don Palwak)

I am super-happy that I found out about Dale Watson.

    But,...

Ain't never goin' to happen. It isn't what the market segment called "country' wants to hear.

Judging by this sheep-in-wolf's-clothing, you're spot on Dave:

I have the whole song. It's terrible.

I have a segment in my show where you will hear Dale, Shooter, Nikki., Sarah Gayle, Hank 3. It's the most I can get away with, mostly cuz the PD never airchecks me.

That blurb you posted didn't seem to make much sense, almost like somebody bought their first Dual Rectifier, drop-tuned their guitar (again for the first time), and just started noodling stuff.

I love the fact that when I click on the video the first suggested video is "Why do women douche?"

Why did a thread on Dale and Redd end up like this so soon?

    I'm sorry Dave!

    Here's my iTunes review:

    Eric Church - The Outsiders

I've tried to give this song a second listen numerous times, but each time I hit the stop button. It tries to hook you with the phased guitar of yesteryear in the first 20 seconds, then launches into some strange mutation of Nickelback and John Rich. It abandons the traditional verse-chorus lead in-chorus, instead it jumps around like a tenderfoot-sans-boots on hot blacktop. It has no form. It's formless. It panders to the lowest common denominator, proudly screaming from the mountaintop of the cliched non-sequitur.

I want my 1.29 back. I need to get a extra-value double cheeseburger and stick it in my ears.

Ok maybe that was sheer poop. But who here can deny that it made you want to go to a dusty, abandoned prison dressed in tattered boots and blue jeans, throw your leather sleeved fist in the air, and proclaim in unison " this is how we roll"...!!!!

Bon Jovi cornered that market in 1986.
