    Another Option

I have the Micro Cube, very nice, then I recently picked up one of these Organge Crush 15R (spring reverb) which is also very nice and the same price as the Pathfinder:

Pathfinder 10 for $80. Simple solid state features; trem, reverb, boost, vol, master, prolly a phones out (I can't remember), 8" vox bulldog speaker. Not as many bells and whistles as the DA5. Looks like a mini AC30 with the brown basket weave. About twice the size of the DA5. Good clean, good growl at low volumes (but can get loud).

yeah, I would have liked to try one of the Pathfinders. But nobody had them locally to test out.

At least the DA5 I found has the classic Vox cloth.

The cloth looks much better than the metal plate.

Now that I think of it, I'll probably end up getting the DA5 in brown basket weave too. I'll put it in the living room for noodling during tv commercials or out on the porch when it's not snowing (heck, it could go in my computer room too he he he). It has the same 11 x 11 styles/effects as my son's DA-15. My other son has the Pathfinder 10 in his room.

How'd I know this was going to end up with the DA5? :)

Good choice! I dig mine. Wish it had the 8" speaker and the cloth grill though - nice score there!
