Had to get one last pass over it before the umpteenth hurricane of this season comes through day after tomorrow.
Probably won’t have to do it again until at least mid February.

I’m waiting on the latest storm in the Gulf to say whether I’m through. May have to mulch some small twigs and limbs after they dry out. Living in the woods, I also don’t rake leaves anymore. Just mulch them with the mower a couple of times in the fall.

The snow photo reminds me of the 4 seasons in the North :

I have a picture of my son mowing on December 24th. That's the latest we've ever mowed. Usually my last is mid November to early December; at that point, it's more about sucking up leaves than actual mowing.

If you riding lawnmower mow over snow, would it clear the walkway?
    Like a redneck snowblower.
    I’m asking seriously.

I'm not posting a picture of snow. We have it, but I'm not posting. Living in northern MN, I'll see it everyday until June! No picture needed.

    Yeah, stay safe.

As for the lawn thing, your thread title made me flash back to something I saw well over four decades ago, but it still makes me chuckle whenever it comes to mind.

My wife and I were living in Lubbock, Texas at the time. We had just moved from one house in the city to another. Soon after the move, we went for a walk in our new neighborhood. A few blocks up from our new home, we saw a house with a yard that was quite unique.

The guy had turned his entire front yard into a rock garden. And up by the front wall of his brick home, he had poured a concrete slab. Sitting atop that slab was an old-fashioned reel/push mower, that was dilapidated and rusty. Behind it was a headstone, and carved upon it were the words...wait for it...

    "Rust In Peace."

Wish I could do another pass with the mower. Won't be doing that again until June. Sorry about the hurricane, but the snow can be pretty miserable too.

    Stay safe everyone!

015.JPG i meant to mow before we got this last night. But here in the Colorado Front Range it will be gone in a week. Back into the 60s on Friday.

Hey donrichfan, what part of the state do you live in?

I may have as well, though I haven’t cut it for weeks and it’s a little on the long side to call it a year. I’m just that lazy.

We had our first dusting of snow today, so maybe that decision will work out fine.

I have that same issue! I had mine aerated, and a few days later we got a pretty decent snow.
