I just got one these amps. It has the stock speakers which leave a lot to be desired. I have at my disposal a pr. of Fat Jimmy C1025’s as well as a pr. of Weber 10F150’s. Anybody been able to compare these two and do you have any recommendations? I know I could just swap them and see for myself but was wondering if anyone has a preference. I’m sure either would be better than what is in there now. Thanks

Or one of each of those ceramics you have.
I had an alnico and a ceramic that matched pretty good
    in my old cvr.

I'd do as suggested above. Put one of each and it could be an interesting frequency spread.

That's my main gigging amp. No one can take the full rock fury of my twin because they're cowards so I bright my custom vibrolux reverb. I put rajun cajuns in there because I'm rajun myself and like the full frequency spread and volume it affords me. I do love this amp. Very lightweight.

The Weber 10F150 is a LOUD punchy speaker... I'm not familiar w the Jimmy. It might make a good mix

You think it’s very lightweight? Well if you are used to playing a Twin I guess so!!

Well I also have a 10A125 so I might try that combo.

It’s always easy enough to try what you have at hand. But I think the Weber will likely be a lot louder than the Fat Jimmy. If it were mine, I can imagine I would end up with a pair of Fat Jimmys in there.

I carry it with my index, middle and ring fingers most of the time. I used to play bass and moved an ampeg v4 and fridge by myself. Got used to it. Manual labor all my life, too. The cajuns add 10lbs to it, probably. Magnet is nice and big

When I had a VR, my 'perfect pair' was a Weber 10F150T and 10A125.

I dunno, that "Ask Zac" ,youtube video review of the stock amp sounded pretty dang sweet to me.

I had a Custom Vibrolux Reverb and I put a 10F150 and a 10A125 in. That was the recommendation from CJ at Weber and it sounds flippin phenomenal. I stupidly sold the amp to my buddy and now every time we get together and he's playing through it I regret selling it.

The 10A125 should deliver a full dose of balanced Fender tone with sparkle on top. The 10F150 should deliver clean thunder with plenty of low end. Try it.

Be sure the impedance ends up right!
