Hey guys, I had the pleasure of playing a couple of Maybach Nick Page Custom Shop Teleman Guitars and I actually made a video with Paul Davids about them.

I think those guitars are just incredible! Nick is a really cool builder and he also has many of his own unique shapes that he does.

If you have the opportunity to play a Maybach Custom, definitely give it a shot, they won't disappoint.

    Here's my video for reference:

Who are some of your favorite custom shop builders that also do telecasters?

    Cheers guys!

    K-Line makes nice stuff.
    They’re my favorite tribute/relic/replica outfit.
They play, sound, and look great.
The T-types are Truxton models, S-type Springfield.
I had a maple neck white blonde maple neck, a la 1958.
    Great guitar!
    Very realistic, IMO.

I seem to recall you first posting on here when you were looking for advice on starting your YouTube channel (I think that was you?)...now you're playing with Paul Davids! Your channel is about to blow up!

I had the good fortune to acquire a Rick Kelly T-style a few years back. Rick and Cindy Hulej (Cindy Guitars) make awesome guitars at Carmine Street Guitars in NYC.

I play a Tom Anderson as does the other player in my band. Awesome instruments. There are more affordable options including Bob Logan's that you can find plenty of fans here. Ron Kirn, that is a member here makes beautiful guitars but I can only have so many.

Hahaha, yes, that's me! I actually started that thread about a year ago or something like that. I'm very fortunate and humbled that some crazy things happened ( like making a video with Paul) and I hope this journey will lead me somewhere cool but most importantly, I love doing what I do and that's what matters the most. Very cool of you to remember that, cheers man!

Those guitars sound great! However, I don't like "relic" guitars and never will. I could never understand the logic in that.

I think of Maybach as more of a small factory production than boutique - I don't think they see themselves as boutique either. Say a Teleman here in the UK set me back £1400-1600 or $1900 - 2500 - then a Tom Waghorn from Bristol hand made one-off would be more like £2500 - but that's for a guitar for me that you'll never see the like of ever again. But yes there are dozens of luthiers in Europe. The Maybachs should be on anyone's shopping list if they are in the market for a slight relic telecaster with the sound of the 50s or 60s. Those pups are so well researched and constructed - Amber Pickups.

BTW those two teles in the video are super relic examples - I've never seen one of those stocked in a shop - most p[eople prefer something that looks like it was looked after by a pro player rather than kept on the floor of a Fedex driver.
