I’m thinking of getting my brother a custom leather guitar strap with his name on it. I’ve seen various places selling them on the interwebs, but if any of you have ordered one, tell me where you got it. Heck, while we’re at it, why don’t you go ahead and post a picture of yours and make it a “Show us your custom leather guitar strap” thread.

    Thanks.

I love my Brookwood Leather strap. Bob makes a quality strap and is a pleasure to work with.

Eric Luther (check the vendor forum) can do it. I just got my custom leather strap from him and it's f'n outstanding. I opted to not do any letters or any fancy details, but he is more than capable and he's an awesome guy. I'll post my strap in a bit when I can get some decent pics...right now I just have my crappy cell phone pics that don't even do it justice.

+1 on Brookwood. Nice guy; does great work, based on the quality of work I anticipate that my strap will last decades after I am but fading memories and dust...

I have two from a guy on eBay. They are extra long and nice and wide. He does all kinds. His name is hdsofttaildeuce or something similar.

I measured the length I wanted by setting a cheap nylon strap to just the way I liked it, then took that to my friend Bill, who owns a boot and saddle shop. He made me a heavy-duty 2" leather strap, tooled nicely and dyed tastefully. It took some work to get it on over the strap buttons, and I don't think it will come off without a knife or a screwdriver. I'm very happy with it; it feels great, and there's not another one like it in the world.

I had him stamp his shop logo down on the end. Marino's Boots and Saddles, Coquille, Oregon. Good guy. Good strap.

I have a belt made by this guy with my name on it, and it is top quality. You'd be keeping it in the Carolinas too, he's in King, NC near Charlotte.

+1, especially if you really love your brother and want to say it with a strap!

Don't think this one has been mentioned yet, but El Dorado Guitars makes great leather straps with buckles (if that's what you're into).
