I woke this morning to find that Amazon is deleting reviews and vendors are suffering and all heck is breaking loose on this ol planet and as I was plummeting into the blue funk that can come from reading the internet... then, it hit... the question, what could make the day even more morose? I took a moment and it hit me... have Curtis and Sparky made a comeback or a second recording of their eponymous (don't know what that word means, but record reviewers use it, so 'me too') debut 'HOOGIE BOOGIE Land'... and... it turns out Curtis died in 2022 at 58. Which begs the question did he burn out before he faded away? Because 'it is written' that it is "better to burn out, than to fade away" But, had he faded away before his untimely succumbnation (I made that word 'up') or was he still toward the top of his game, thus making his exit more untimely? I think so. Very, very much so.

Now, the whereabouts of Bo Donaldson, I have no idea.

Somehow that made me wonder where Romeo Rose is but even in reduced work hours, I need to be serious for a short bit and even shave for a meeting in 2 hours.

While I was not fond of the writing style, it was a nice tribute and made me think … thanks, GB!

My guitar teacher passed on July third and adds to the band in heaven. Does that help? He actually taught me a lot and also built electric guitars. I bought three. Nice guitars. Twenty years back he was a studio musician in Nashville and is on a lot of older country songs. Cool dude who led an interesting and I think sometimes hard life. Loved his dogs and guitars.

WOW! That’s a name that doesn’t come up too often. My last passing thought of was reading the ugliest guitar thread. Thought about it, forgot about it

I am triangulating. In a world where a crappy crap band becomes a darling of critics, the Complete is the Wild Three of Diamonds.

I’m not sure what that means, but eponymous means giving your name (either individually or collectively) to something, as in the title of an album.

Hence, an album titled “The Doors” or “Blur” or “The White Stripes”, for example.

And of course, “eponymous” is critic literary flourishing, as in how many times will you hear this word vs how many times you read it. Standard ratio test in linguistic analysis.

I just made that up, but it’s probably true.

For those who were familiar with Curtis, sorry. Condolences.

I guess this is the point like in Portlandia where they debate whether musicianship is a relevant litmus test or something like that.
