Hey, welcome to TDPRI. I'd say that is about as close to a perfect match if there ever was one.

Almost always preamp. I use the Binary IR as the power amp and cabinet and that goes into the board (or amp, or headphones). I like it since it sounds good by itself and works well with a lot of pedals. I'm probably going to get the Hotone Binary Amp soon and see how that compares.

Thanks, the Hotone Binary Amp seems a good pedal...

Currently - Teles and Strats into pedalboard into Peavey Bandit power amp loaded with an Emi Private Jack - mic’d up to the board.

    The pedalboard consists of:

    • Snark pedal tuner
    • Joyo Tremolo
    • EHX Small Stone Nano
    • Zoom MS-100bt running:
      • Clean boost (activated by footswitch)
      • MS Crunch amp model (Plexi) with cab sim off - edge of break up. clean boost kicks it into full crunch.
      • ZNR noise gate
      • A touch of delay and spring reverb
    • Boss GE-7, used as a post-amp solo boost with minor tone shaping
    • EB jr. volume pedal - ambient swells, mostly.
    • Zoom MS-50G running a chain of ambient delays and reverbs
    • Another Zoom MS-100bt toggling between bypass, moderate solo delay and reverb, and a dotted 8th tap delay

The last two Zoom MS pedals I treat pretty much like you would rack mount effects units.

I could, and like the idea of switching the Bandit and preamp section of the first Zoom pedal for one of the new 20watt JCM800 combos. But honestly, what I’m using now is killer in the context of the band and mix.

Guitar mill partscaster is my #1 currently.

    But sometimes it's a strat.

Amp is a 68 princeton custom. I have a white 60s style mim Telecaster for open G stuff, and if I don't use the lap steel, I'll use another strat set up strictly for slide.

    Pedalboard is usually...but can change.

And a 1955 National chicagoan, depending on what and or who I'm playing with.

I’m not playing out these days but I’m doing a lot of recording and writing so that’s something.

Here’s my current rig. The Strat is one of three I’m playing these days and I’ve got an early 80’s Ibanez Semi-hollow body that I’ve been playing a bit too. The amp is a scratch built clone of an Orange Tiny/Holy Terror that gets all my attention. A MESA Cab with 12’s and my pedal board that was completely apart this afternoon. I’m going to swap a few pedals around still and I want to add a Fuzz into the mix so there will be changes.

Yeah, it gets a few comments every time...and that's before I put the guitar on it.

90's G&L S500 & Legacy as well as an ASAT Blues Boy though through a Blues Jr with a Tube screamer and Fulltone Boost (always on). If I want the people in New Hampster to hear me it's a Fender Hot Rod DeVille w/ the same pedals.
