I spend a lot of time searching music of the past but tend to get out of touch with whats going on now. What are some current rock bands with a classic rock vibe?

    Thanks

Hmm...just a couple off the top of my head:

The Black Keys (and the Dan Auerbach solo stuff, as well)
    The Raconteurs

Them crooked vultures seem like they'd fit the modern classic rock vibe.

    The White Stripes
Frightened Rabbit (not so much "classic" but still awesome)
    as above, the Raconteurs
    The Killers
and for todays Pink Floyds look to Muse

    However,
(apart from the White Stripes) the greatest band at work today is without a question, Radiohead. And Jonny Greenwood is a Tele man too!

The Gaslight anthem have a very Petty sound.

One of my favorites from the past couple of years is Wolfmother. Australian power trio. Very Led Zeppelin/Sabbath-oid.

There are actually quite a few bands out there right now I love.
The Henry Clay People, Wilco, Fruit Bats, Of Montreal, Cake, M Ward, Joseph Arthur & Lonely Astronauts

When I think about 'current classic rock bands' first thing that comes to mind is The Brought Low

Henry Clay People kind of have that going on too ... more Stones than Zep, though

OK, more Henry Clay. REALLY like these guys
