Well son, if a frog had wings ......

Don't let the screen door...................slam. Damn kids.

If I'd said that to my mother she would have slapped me all the way back to Thursday.

I don't play out, but I wonder if the feeling is that similar 'controlled closeness' I used to love when I was hiking. We'd be either coming in to, or leaving a town, and enjoying the view of town from above, from the ridge. I loved the towns, a lot. But only as an observer, from my quiet place up on the mountain. Sounds weirder than I mean it. In fact, it was a very sweet, faintly bittersweet feeling.

Oh, and children are menaces. :D

That’s because from afar most towns look serene then once you get closer you realize they are filled with the same clodhoppers that are everywhere ;)

Best not to ruin the mystery

I used to tell my kids that when I was a kid all we had to eat was a bowl of steam. My daughter, who recently gave birth to her first child, told me just the other day that she thought of that and finally 'got it'. I guess now she is a curmudgeon.

That's a nice box of hammers!
My favorite hammer is a six pound sledge with a six inch handle. It is amazingly useful.

Yep, I call my similar "weapon of mass destruction" Thor.
