Curious: CVC question and content

    Did the CVC ever come in any other color than sunburst? I remember reading someone talking about a blonde but I've never seen one. Google searches don't show anything helpful.

    next to sunburst only, white and black.. and a "Gold Bronze" colour with a neck humbucker.

    I only have the regular and the white one...

    250 black CVCs and 250 white CVCs out there. I gutted a black one.

    I spotted a fiesta or Dakota red one on fleabay a while back.
    I think it was in Japan. May have been refinished although it wasn't advertised as being refinished.

    But was it a Squier? There have been several Japanese incarnations of the 60's custom tele, but I don't recall they made one under the Squier brand.

    Yes, it was listed as a classic vibe, it looked like a stock classic vibe custom only in red. It was double bound and had a squier painted, logo headstock. It was a used listing so it's possible it had been modified and the seller neglected to state that in the listing or it could have been legit and a special run squier did for the Japanese market.
