    $4,500? But all sold? Good.
My favorite guitar - my favorite player.
MC is the reason I started trying Teles.
    Was a Lester freak before.

Interesting decal on the headstock. It is neither Broadcaster or Nocaster. However it is close to the Fender decal that is on Mike Campbell's guitar, less "Broadcaster," which "may" be due to the Gretsch permision thing...but the string tree is a butterfly one, and in the same position, again, as on Mike's guitar.
I have sometimes wondered about why it is different to the normal "Broadcaster" headstock layout. Was it refinished? Was it re-necked? I don't know.
Here is a pic of Campbell's.

Note that he didn't offer to A/B them in the video. Feel the same? Maybe. Sound the same? No way. Great cause though.

I've often wonderd about that guitar. Mike says he's never taken it apart so who knows what it really is. I've never seen a Broadcaster with the decal in that position and the string is not right nor is it in the right position. Who knows. Still, a very cool guitar.

I personally love relics, especially signature models, and the more accurate the more I like it, I'm not crazy about the "tribute" idea and if the original was a US guitar, I think the signature models should be also, not like the Muddy Waters or the Joe Strummer MIM's, I can't explain it. I guess that's why there's an a$$h0le for every toilet seat...

    its sod-er rhymes with fodder

I think its lame it doesnt say Broadcaster

for one Gretsch made a BroadKaster
and also, fender owns gretsch so who will they sue? themselves?

unless G&L own the name now....that would be ironic

This definitely appears to have been "messed with". The dark spot over the first "e" in Fender might've been the original string tree location. Also, the word Broadcaster looks like a separate decal and is too close to the word Fender and looks like it's not exactly lined up.

These "issues" sure haven't affected his ability to make great music with it!

Gretsch Drums were sold to Drum Workshop (early 2015 I believe), which is the most likely reason why they can't use the "Broadkaster" name.

    Nocaster?

Maybe Mike thought he bought a Broadcaster when he actually bought a Nocaster. That decal in the pic is wrong and applied in a wrong way. Beautiful axe that CS thing BTW!

Worth casually noting that the one Mike played and Fender promo'd was Masterbuilt with the builder decal signature on the rear headstock....the ones released for sale are NOT Masterbuilt. Nice one Fender.
