Just heard about this today. Anyone got the skinny?
Very cool. Wonder how much they'll go for.
Yup! Heads up on this one. Mike was generous enough to let me play the original a couple of years ago. I'd love to get my hands on one.
Apparently only 30 made - and all pre-sold. Uggh.
30 made, I guess I wouldn't have been able to afford it anyway.
I loved the overall look of that guitar with the exception of the ultra-worn pickguard. Is that a Strat switch tip?
Nice cause. I don't get the whole - copy a used and abused guitar at a particular snapshot in time thing. Why would I want a broken nut and a soldering burn that wasn't put there working on my guitar. I guess that makes me not the target audience. But I hope they sell them out. Mike's a huge influence and it's a nice cause.
Okay, relics, you like them or you don't, I'm not going there. But the obsessiveness they applied to the relicking! "From the nail scratch on the front of the lower horn to the soldering iron burn near the output jack and the chipped nut"
See his tweed Excelsior in the background... over a year ago he said in an interview that a Heartbreaker Excelsior would come out soon. I wonder if that's next, maybe for the same cause?
Very cool. Had no idea he had the Tazzy Fund.
I love dogs. And I love Telecasters. Nice job, Mike!
That's a good looking guitar whether you go for the relicing thing or not.
Have always dug his playing style.
£2,949 apparently in the uk.
Shame when his is a broadcaster, they've made it as a nocaster. Still looks a cool guitar though
Yes I see from the video that it is a Strat switch tip and as Chris said, it's a Nocaster in UK. http://intl.fender.com/en-GB/custom...artbreaker-maple-fingerboard-nocaster-blonde/
Mike, Mike, Mike, how do you pronounce "solder"?????
"Sole-der" is the British pronunciation. Maybe he has a British guitar tech?
Yes, It's always been solder here.
I guess the original Trademark issues with the use of "Broadcaster" are still in effect.
Guess Soul-dir is like "Jag-you-are" ........?
Yes, and "stror-bree".
